We have a Saluki Greyhound Cross puppy named Ziggy with a massive prey drive. We were struggling letting him loose for a run unless in a fully enclosed area. We thought we were safe on Formby beach but alas, no he was fine playing other dogs one minute then as soon as he spotted the seagulls he was off. He ran off that far we lost sight of him, Formby beach is 13km long. Queue the wife losing the plot and me attempting to run down a beach to find him. He came back eventually only to run past us in the opposite direction and out of sight again in a vain attempt to catch flying seagulls. We found him lay down about half a mile away completely knackered. So next day Gps device and this training collar purchased....Wow within 1 hour of using it , vibration mode only, I must stress our wayward pup was transformed is now a model citizen and will walk past birds within 2m, he will look at them but will not chase and is now safe to walk off lead in any open space. We only have used the shock mode 2 times, once when he tried to ignore the vibration, he's never ignored again, and once by accident...oops sorry Ziggy. So if it will work for a long dog with a massive prey drive it should work for any dog.
It has really helped my dog stop pulling and now can let him off his lead with out worrying his not going to come back when called and it stopped him barking at other dogs
This product is extremely good. I’m not new to dogs and spend a huge amount of time training them. Our latest addition unfortunately had a terrible habit of spinning and jumping when cars pass. This was proving to be really unsafe. We spent months trying to train and get rid of this habit including multiple established trainers but with no success. Walks were becoming terrible.
Within 5 minutes of using this device the behaviour has stopped. I used 2 shocks and from then on a simple vibration of audible alert has been enough to prevent this. I am truely amazed, I was at my wits end. Will it work for every dog, I’m not sure but I can say this has really worked for us and made things so much better.
